Community Response Team

The  Community Response Team (CRT) supports emergency preparedness on the Pohutukawa coast.

The Community Response Team is a non-profit organisation, we thank the generosity of the local community and our main sponsor Ray White Beachlands. 

Our Purpose

The aims of the organisation are to:

  • Maintain a team of volunteers (the Pohutukawa Coast Emergency Response Team) able to respond to disasters and emergencies
  • Support those volunteers to achieve NZQA qualifications in emergency response
  • Work with Auckland Emergency Management (AEM) to provision a Community Lead Centre in the event of a disaster or emergency
  • Support the community and emergency services by providing food, shelter, medicine or other necessities for life
